Belief
Strange word.... means a lot to me, to me its synonymous with faith, trust and such.
Life begins, you have absolutely no idea, of even what an idea is, you are just a fast learning, assimilating, living creature, learning at a geometric pace, only to find your own set of limitations that you have to live with, and enjoy. During this fast and slow learning process, you trust your parents; the very reason why you survive, they are the world to you. There is nothing greater than them their advice is the best, and what they say is all that you care about.
You grow a bit older, other people come forth and become a part of your life, you spend most of your life in school. Where, if you are lucky you have the pleasure of finding things out. The discovery of new things that your parents haven't mentioned gives you the edge and the confidence to think beyond them. Life is as colourful as dull. You see the colour before you see the dark part. You see there is a system, a society, of your kind living, happily, or under the false pretext of happiness. Some are happy in the past, some in the anticipation of the future. People mostly don't realise the importance of what they have.
You see people get many things done by some vague emotion " trust".... They do things to get others trust, lots of things move on trust, the society builds on the belief of trust. Not everyone can be policed, those who need to be are, the rest runs on belief, trust. You too start trusting, blindly.
What if you get fooled once? You don't stop trusting, but you become a bit careful. Trust cannot be removed, it has to be there for the society to run.
A system in which a large amount of belief is trusted, has to work. The religious concept of faith and the trueness of it may be true in real life as well. For there is an unknown force, that keeps things going right for us. The force is not a physical entity, no, but its there around us, and makes things happen.
My belief.... well if you want something, trust that you will get it completely, and you will. Believe in something strongly enough, and it will never betray you. Only when the faith falters is there a betrayal.
